After this level, you will be able to carry on simpler conversations in German, used in everyday situations and on everyday topics.
You will use simple but grammatically correct sentences and phrases.

On completion of this language level, which is considered as an independent language level or a level of integration into German-speaking society, you will be able to understand texts and carry out conversations with a higher degree of complexity, on topics related to family, school, work, travel, leisure, hobbies, using more complicated and grammatically correct sentences and phrases.
You will be able to summarize, formulate ideas and give short arguments or explanations in German.
This German language course is considered as an autonomous language level or minimum level of integration into German-speaking society and corresponds to a mother tongue level associated with textbooks in German-speaking countries for grades 4-5.

B2 Level

You will be able to understand more complex texts from different fields of science, education, culture, etc.
You can also extract the main ideas and have more fluent conversations with native speakers without much effort. You express and support your opinion on varied and relevant topics, arguing your position coherently.
This German language course is at an advanced level and corresponds to a level of mother-tongue associated with the textbooks of German-speaking countries for grades 6-7.
It is necessary to obtain the right to practise in German-speaking countries for certain professional categories, such as Approbation for doctors (but only in Germany and Switzerland, in Austria C1 is required) and nurses.
This level of language is often also required to be able to study at a vocational school in Germany (Ausbildung).

C1 Level

You will be able to understand complex texts in a fairly detailed way, from different fields of science, education, culture, etc.
You can use German in fluent conversation with native speakers effortlessly. You will be able to express and argue your opinion on a wide range of complex social and professional topics, explaining your position in a logical, clear and well-structured way.
This German language course demonstrates a high level of German language proficiency and corresponds to a level of mother tongue associated with textbooks in German-speaking countries for grades 7-9.
It is required to obtain the right to practise as a doctor in Austria and is also required for people applying for higher education at universities in German-speaking countries and sometimes also for those who are only doing vocational school in certain fields, further training (Weiterbildung) or advanced vocational training (Fortbildung).
